Shareholder Tom Yardley was the recipient of the Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service presented at the U.S. District Court’s Twentieth Annual Awards for Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. The Awards ceremony honored attorneys for their contributions in helping people most in need of assistance before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Tom and his team counsel were nominated by U.S. District Judge Edmond E. Chang for providing outstanding pro bono and public interest representation before the Court on behalf of two migrant boys detained by the Immigration and Custom Enforcement. Below are photos of the Award and the entire team accepting the honor.

Each year the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association seek to celebrate attorneys’ extraordinary volunteer services to their clients, the court, and the public.
