Attorneys James J. Riebandt and Dominic G. Erbacci successfully defended a car dealership client in a binding arbitration conducted by the American Arbitration Association. The case involved issues related to the sale and purchase of a Land Rover Range Rover vehicle. The arbitrator issued a final award in favor of the car dealership and against the claimant on all counts. The claimant sought approximately $100,000 in alleged monetary damages for claims under the Truth in Lending Act, the Illinois Motor Vehicle Retail Installment Sales Act, the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act, the Illinois Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act, the Illinois Attorney Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and unjust enrichment.
