David P. Resnick maintains a national practice concentrated in commercial real estate development, leasing and finance matters. He has over 21 years of experience handling all facets of commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, sale, financing and leasing of industrial, office, residential, retail and mixed-use properties. David also provides an array of dedicated legal services to hospitality clients with respect to their real estate, finance and operational matters.

In addition, David negotiates construction, joint venture and divestiture agreements for real estate development and investment transactions. He represents banks and other financial institutions and private enterprises in the negotiation and documentation of mortgage, mezzanine, bridge, and structured debt.

David counsels a diverse population of clients, from commercial property owners, tenants, developers and investors, to retailers, hospitality management firms, lenders and finance professionals. He is a trusted adviser with a mastery of his clients’ short- and long-term objectives in each transaction, be it a modest office lease or a complex construction financing. David is committed to partnering with his clients and approaches each matter with creativity and passion.

David is committed to volunteerism and community engagement, and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Illinois Market of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  He also is an immediate past member of the Board of Directors for Urban Gateways, a historic Chicago organization that connects disadvantaged youth with the arts community.

David serves on the firm’s Executive Committee.
